B.O.Y stands for B Of You, Best Of You, and Both Of You. Their group was created after the disbandment of the previous boy group called Myteen. This new name was taken from the 2000 suggestions on their official fan café. Kookheon and Yoovin several times tried their luck to make it in the music industry; they ever joined several survival shows, including Produce X 101 and MyTeen, where even though they made some progress, they eventually failed for some reason. Kookheon was born in Bundang, South Korea. He has the nickname Gukkwon. From source OSEN, he is close to MJ from Astro. Het got ranked 18th in the survival show MIXNINE. Before debut, he trained for several years. Kookheon has a special ability in singing, dancing, writing lyrics, and composing. Kookheon’s hobby is painting and taking care of his health. He is deemed the dad of the group, who could take care of the members during MyTeen. He was the leader and main vocalist of MyTeen. Even though he replaced Eunsu as a leader on MyTeen, he felt he was not suitable. Kookheon sang the soundtrack of the K-drama Secret Forest titled “As If To Love.” Kookheon sang the soundtrack of the K-drama Jugglers titled “Only You Know.” In Produce X 101, in the first elimination, he didn’t get enough screen time, but the fans still supported him. He got eliminated in episode 11 of Produce X 101, in rank 21.

Yoovin was born in Daegu, South Korea. His older sister is named Song Yuri. Buddhism is his religion. Yoovin graduated from Hanlim Multi Art High School. He wanted to be a Barista when he was younger. Yoovin has the nickname Songsaseum or Song Deer. He is allergic to dogs, but apparently, he has two dogs named Mongyi and Chopper. His hobbies are playing sports such as soccer, basketball, baseball, also listing, singing music, and sleeping. He can speak Japanese and Chinese. Yoovin is afraid of heights. In October 2017, the walked the catwalk as a model in the Seoul Fashion Week. He has also worked as an MC of the show Kiss The Beauty. He admires and respects Kim Bum-soo and Moon Myungjin. During MyTeen, he debuted as the main vocalist in 2017, but they disbanded on August 21st, 2019. Yoovin appeared on Mnet’s Superstar K6 as Top 4. He debuted as a solo artist on May 30th, 2016. Official Debut
B.O.Y revealed the teaser of their concept from December 25th to 30th, 2019, then the trailer also came up on December 31st and January 1st, 2020. The album is titled Phase One: YOU. On January 2nd and 3rd, 2020, B.O.Y released their MV teaser and highlight medley. So compacted and lean! In the first teaser, they wear denim style and sit on the comfortable couch which brought the name of this teaser to be the 6 AM teaser. The cool look and fashion will attract your eyes, especially looking at their tattoos. In the second teaser, B.O.Y give off a mature and manly vibe. So nice! For the fan base name, they chose Meet You which has the meaning “Meeting B Of You” and “M.Y.B.O.Y”. On January 7th, 2020, they released Phase One: YOU. The tracklist of the album consists of the title track “My Angel,” and continues with “Starlight,” “Got Your Back,” “Clock Hand,” and “Lighthouse.” The album itself is a collaboration of producers of Wanna One and IZ*ONE, Tenzo, and Seo Won Jin who have also worked with Zion T and TaeYang. The choreography of their song “My Angel” was directed by Choi Young Jun who they met in Produce X 101. What a historical journey!
